Dental check-ups: what happens and why they get postponed

A routine dental appointment is short and mostly uneventful, which is exactly why it slips down the list. What one actually involves.

MedVek Team

Dental appointments are among the easiest to postpone, because nothing appears to be wrong. That is rather the point of them.

What a routine visit covers

A check-up is largely an examination and a conversation. The dentist looks at teeth and gums, asks about anything you have noticed, and tells you whether anything needs attention now or watching.

Worth mentioning while you are there

  • Anything that has become sensitive
  • Changes in how your teeth meet when you bite
  • Bleeding when brushing
  • Any medicine you have started since the last visit

Booking through MedVek

Dental appointments are booked in the app alongside everything else, which means the record of what was done sits with the rest of your care rather than in a separate place.
