Privacy Policy

How MedVek handles information across this website and the MedVek app.

Draft - not legally binding

9 of 11 sections still need approved copy from the MedVek legal team. The structure below is a drafting outline only, and must be reviewed before launch.

Effective date to be confirmed

MedVek is a healthcare technology platform. Because healthcare involves sensitive personal information, we set out below what is collected, why, and the choices available to you.

01Scope of this policy

Must cover

State exactly which products this policy covers - this website, the MedVek mobile app, and the provider onboarding portal are separate systems with different data practices. Clarify whether they share one policy or each has its own.

02Information this website collects

This website is a static, informational site. It has no user accounts, no forms that submit to a server, no database and no third-party analytics or advertising trackers. It does not collect, store or process personal information about you.

Where the site links out - for example to an app store, or to the MedVek onboarding portal - those destinations have their own privacy practices.

03Information the MedVek app collects

Must cover

Describe what the mobile app collects: account details, contact information, address and location, prescriptions and uploaded documents, booking and payment records, and health-related information. List each category, the purpose, and the legal basis for processing.

04How information is used

Must cover

Explain the purposes - delivering bookings, connecting patients with professionals, processing payments, support, safety, legal compliance and service improvement. State plainly whether data is ever used for marketing, and how consent is obtained.

05Sharing and disclosure

Must cover

Identify the categories of recipients: healthcare professionals fulfilling a service, pharmacies, laboratories, ambulance partners, payment processors and cloud hosting providers. Confirm that personal data is not sold, and set out when disclosure is legally required.

06Data security

Must cover

Summarise the technical and organisational safeguards - encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, staff verification, and retention limits. Avoid specifics that would themselves create risk.

07Data retention

Must cover

State how long each category of data is kept and the basis for that period, including any statutory retention requirements that apply to medical records in the operating jurisdiction.

08Your rights

Must cover

Set out the applicable rights - access, correction, deletion, portability, withdrawal of consent and complaint - and the process and timeframe for exercising them. Confirm the governing regime (for example India’s DPDP Act, and GDPR if EU users are served).

09Children’s privacy

Must cover

State the minimum age for holding an account, and how care booked by a parent or guardian on behalf of a minor is handled.

10Changes to this policy

Must cover

Explain how updates are published and how users are notified of material changes.
