Terms of Service
The terms that apply when you use the MedVek website and app.
Draft - not legally binding
10 of 14 sections still need approved copy from the MedVek legal team. The structure below is a drafting outline only, and must be reviewed before launch.
Effective date to be confirmed
These terms govern your use of the MedVek website and the MedVek app. Please read them carefully - they explain what MedVek does, what it does not do, and the responsibilities on both sides.
01About these terms
Must cover
Identify the contracting legal entity (full registered company name, CIN and registered address), confirm that using the website or app constitutes acceptance, and state the governing law and jurisdiction.
02What MedVek provides
MedVek is a technology platform that connects people with healthcare services - including doctor consultations, home visits, nursing, lab tests, medicines, ambulance, dental, physiotherapy, veterinary and palliative care.
MedVek facilitates access to these services. Care itself is delivered by qualified healthcare professionals and partner providers.
03Not a medical service or emergency line
Must cover
CRITICAL - have a clinician and lawyer review this. State that the platform does not provide medical advice, does not replace professional judgement, and must not be relied on in an emergency. Direct users to local emergency services. Clarify the status of ambulance requests, which are dispatch coordination rather than a guaranteed emergency response.
04Eligibility and accounts
Must cover
Set the minimum age, require accurate information, place responsibility for credentials on the account holder, and describe booking on behalf of a family member or dependant.
05Bookings, pricing and payments
Must cover
Explain how bookings are confirmed, how pricing is displayed, accepted payment methods including cash on delivery, when charges apply, and who the payment is ultimately owed to.
06Cancellations and refunds
Must cover
Define cancellation windows per service type, any charges, the refund method and timeline, and how disputes are raised. This is the most common source of consumer complaints - be specific.
07Prescriptions and medicines
Must cover
Cover the requirement for a valid prescription for scheduled medicines, verification of uploaded prescriptions, refusal or return rights, and applicable pharmacy regulations.
08Professionals and partners
Must cover
Describe the relationship between MedVek and providers (independent practitioners or partner organisations rather than employees), what verification is performed, and where responsibility for clinical care sits.
09Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- misuse the platform or interfere with its operation or security;
- submit false, misleading or fraudulent information;
- attempt to access accounts, records or data belonging to others;
- use the platform for any unlawful purpose.
10Intellectual property
The MedVek name, logo, brand assets, and the content and design of this website and the MedVek app are the property of MedVek and may not be copied or reused without written permission.
11Service availability
Must cover
State that availability is not guaranteed, that services may vary by location, and that features may change or be withdrawn. Note any planned-maintenance expectations.
12Limitation of liability
Must cover
MUST be drafted by a qualified lawyer for the operating jurisdiction. Consumer protection law limits how far liability can be excluded, particularly in healthcare. Do not copy boilerplate from another company.
13Changes to these terms
Must cover
Explain how updates are published, how users are notified of material changes, and the effect of continued use.
14Contact
Questions about these terms can be sent to Medvekhealthcarenetworks@gmail.com. A registered office address and grievance officer contact should be added here before publication.
