Ordering medicines and uploading a prescription

How pharmacy orders work on MedVek, and what to check before you place one so it is not delayed.

MedVek Team

Medicine orders are placed in the app and fulfilled by a pharmacy in the MedVek network. Where an item requires a prescription, you upload it as part of the order rather than arranging it separately.

Photographing a prescription

  • Lay the prescription flat and photograph the whole page, corners included
  • Check the medicine names and strengths are legible before you upload
  • Include both sides if anything is written on the back
  • Make sure the prescribing doctor’s details and the date are visible

Before you confirm the order

Check the delivery address and the quantity. Most delays come from an unclear prescription image or an address the delivery cannot find, and both are quicker to fix before the order is placed than after.

Repeat orders

Past orders stay in the app, so a repeat is a matter of finding the previous one rather than re-entering everything. If a prescription has expired, a new one is needed before it can be filled again.
